Bring on the Bollywood Dance Party!

I am turning 11 years of age in just one week. I can't wait. I'm so excited! We are going to have a Bollywood Dance Party, which my mum's friend "Aunty Jayne" is going to do for me. She makes these great Bollywood Dance outfits. I'm going to have 10 girlfriends come over and we're going to get dressed up and do dancing. It's going to be so much fun. Jayne's daughter, Eliza, is a legend and she'll be the dance leader for the party.

I love these outfits. Tell me what you think.

Circus Quirkus - Can I hang from the ring too?

Circus Quirkus was the most fun and the first real circus I have ever been to. There are no animals, just lots of acrobats, a clown and a ninja chef (Bruno - I loved Bruno!).

We got free tickets from School but they were from Police Citizen's Youth Clubs, who fundraised for the event and gave the tickets to families that couldn't afford to buy them.

There were three acrobats (they were stunning!). There were two gypsys and one disco girl. There was this really tall man with fuzzy hair and he did the disco dance with the disco girl. He lay on his back and put her on his feet and tumbled her on her bum in the air - it was really clever and very dangerous. He didn't drop her.

There were two girls on the ring, really high up, with these long pieces of material. They did all sorts of tricks and were really good. I wanted to be up there too.

There was this clown and he was funny! He got people up out of the audience and one of the girls, she was squeezing the horn and the bottom went flying and the clown told her off and got angry. It was really funny. He kept telling off the three volunteers for not doing it properly and it was so funny.

My family went with me - Elise, Emily, Adonijah and my Dad and Mum. We drove in with Dad and then we caught the train home cause Dad had to go out. I played with my mobile all the way home on the train. My little brother was so excited because he hadn't been on a train before.

I think Circus Quirkus was just amazing. If you get the chance to go and see them, it's really good.

No Skewl So Kool!

It's holidays for us girls and we are so excited!

Mum is being a dragon, making us clean our room. After all, who cares if our floor is clothes carpet! Whose going to look under our beds and in our cupboards. She's cool (constipated, overweighted, old lady!).

Seriously, what are you guys up to in the hols?

Mum's organised a heap of stuff for us to do...ummm...ummm...not sure but she says it's going to be good.

On the weekend I got a great idea. I did the weeding in the garden for mum and mum said she'd pay me $20. So I thought to myself, Why don't I put notes in all the letterboxes and see if I can earn some real money this hols. Well, the girls next door decided to hire me and I've earned another $30 doing their garden. Too kool!

Elise and I also got paid for looking after one of mum's friend's dogs. Elise had to poopy scoop and play vet for 10 days and I got paid for doing nothing but having fun with the dogs. Elise got a voucher from a CD shop for $40, plus $10 to go to the movies. I got $10 as well. It was awesome.

My plan for my money is to save up and buy a laptop. Then I can blog anytime I want. I can also get wireless internet and then mum won't be able to stop me going online when I want. Well, she can but she's going to be better about it because I won't be taking over her computer. Can't wait!

Elise is really desperate to get down to the CD shop...man she loves to spend her money! She's thinking of getting the latest Linkin Park CD or Rhianna. Got any suggestions on good music?

We've been working on a dance to Fergie's song, Glamorous. It's very kool. You gotta see us get down. If you're in our neighbourhood look us up!

Designing my own clothes

My friend's mum, Jayne, visited us tonight. She's really nice and pretty. She's a great teacher and knows how to do sewing and designing. My mum asked her if she would help me to learn to sew because I love designing clothes and creating weird, out-of-the-blue clothes.

Jayne promised to help me in the holidays. She told me to draw a design, then think about all the shapes that would make up that design and draw them. Then from my designs she will help me to draft a pattern and sew my dress together. I feel happy and excited that she will do this and have spent the last hour drawing designs. I now have one design I really like and I'm looking forward to making it. Wow, can't wait to wear that dress! It's so creative and funky!

That's me for now.

Eliza is so cool!

My friend, Eliza, came over for a visit tonight. Her mum and mine are good friends. Her mum brought over some Bollywood costumes and let us try them on. They were so cool. Eliza got to hear some of my favourite tracks like "Stronger" by Kanye West; "No Air" by Chris Brown and Jordan Sparks; and "Glamorous" by Fergie.

Eliza has this really neat new Mac laptop. It's amazing. It's got a built in web cam and you can do all kinds of weird things, like splitting the image in two. I've asked her to put some video clips up on the site. Her brother does this really funky dance...I love it.

Well, time for bed. Hope you come back for a visit soon. Blogging is great!

Girls With A Passion 4 Fashion launches!

My sister Elise and I (Sarah) have created our very first social network on ning.com. It's called Girls with a Passion for Fashion and is open to girls up to the age of 18 years.

The purpose of our social network and this blog is to give girls the opportunity to become fashion gurus.

Elise and I did a little tour of duty around the local shops. Here's a few quick pics.

We were very excited to start this social network and we hope that a lot of girls will come online and hang out with us and discuss fashion.
